Reporting to the Title IX Compliance Officer, the Title IX Prevention Coordinator provides direction and oversight of prevention and outreach activities for Title IX harassment and violence including assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements*
- Oversees the Tarrant County College district-wide Title IX violence prevention and outreach program that serves students, faculty, and staff
- Assists in the coordination, development and implementation of campus–based awareness and strategic efforts aimed at the prevention of discrimination, harassment, and Title IX misconduct
- Monitors the dissemination of educational materials, including brochures, posters, and web-based materials that inform members of the Tarrant County College community of violence awareness and prevention efforts and Title IX rights, responsibilities, and resources
- Supports leadership and provide direction for awareness and prevention training and activities to members of the Tarrant County College community
- Develops and produces written communications, reports, emails, and guidance documents, with the ability to communicate information in a manner easily understood by diverse workgroups
- Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
- Assesses compliance programming, in collaboration with Student Affairs and other institutional departments
- Assists with leading the strategic vision, implementation, and assessment of the Title IX violence prevention program for the college
- Prioritizes compliance requirements, analyzes compliance data, and tracks compliance efforts related to the Title IX violence prevention program
Service Excellence
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year’s working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in social work, sociology, psychology, human resources, or related field
- Experience working with social services delivery systems, concepts, principles, and theories relating specifically to Title IX assault, victim advocacy, and other acts of interpersonal violence, and to the prevention of and response to Title IX assault or other acts of interpersonal violence
- Experience working with diverse student populations (such as international students, non-traditional age students, underrepresented student populations in higher education, LGBT identified students, students with disabilities, students of difference races, ages, ethnicities, genders, and religions) and promoting an environment of equity, diversity, and inclusion in a higher education environment
- Experience providing counseling or crisis intervention
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Title IX harassment, assault, violence, domestic violence, dating violence, intimate partner violence, stalking, and sex and gender-based harassment prevention strategies
- Knowledge of the Violence Against Women Act, Title IX, and other Federal and State laws related to dating and domestic violence, and stalking
- Knowledge and cultural competence on diversity, social justice, unconscious bias, consent, and bystander intervention
- Skilled using applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Skilled in written and verbal communication to effectively communicate complex issues to a diverse audience
- Ability to develop and identify best practices for primary prevention programming and developing training opportunities for campus stakeholders
- Ability to research and seek information from a variety of sources to make sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
- Ability to exercise tact, mature judgment, confidentiality, diplomacy, and flexibility in interacting with all levels off faculty, students, staff and management, guests, vendors, and the public using discretion on all interactions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies, procedures, State and Federal laws, and regulations
- Ability to recognize issues of sensitive nature and respect confidentiality, maintaining, protecting, and appropriately communicating confidential information
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple interruptions and meet deadlines
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
